I was once asked when it was that I first considered myself to be an artist but I believe I have never thought of myself as anything else.  I began to draw and paint and to construct as soon as I was given the materials, probably before, and I have never stopped making art of one sort or another.  As long as I can remember, I saw the world in terms of design - not “intelligent design” but “aesthetic design."
